VARIOUS PROJECTS | NBC SPORTS
NBC Sports is a brand whose pedigree needs no introduction! I’ve been privileged to have joined the team in 2025 the help produce a litany of supporting graphics in the lead-up period to February 2026 where three major sports events happened to coincide with one another: Super Bowl LX, the 2026 Winter Olympics, and the NBA All-Star Game (the first year NBC had the NBA broadcast license in over 20 years), an event known and celebrated internally as “Legendary February”.
Below are a few samples of the original design work I was tasked with creating to help bring parts of these events alive, delighting and edifying all sports fans, new and old alike!

THE ART OF THE VIZ
While the majority of my day to day responsibilities involve the delivery of on-air motion graphics assets for various sports franchises through pre-established templates, every now and again I was given opportunities exercise my creative muscles like a veritable design QB at pre-season training camp which mostly came in the form of what the company calls Viz or Vizs… essentially data visualization animations that blend data with kinetic storytelling turning, complex sports statistics into comedic and/or highly stylized short animations that reveal stats, insights, and potential narratives developing with their favorite teams and players that engage audiences and are easy to understand. Because these are usually rapidly created often with only a single day of lead time before the game aired while still having other critical deliverable responsibilities they aren’t all the greatest triumphs in design, however when the timing and mood is right, some turn out to be MVPs, like this curated group of selects I’ve personally created from design to animation (and actually AIRED, because sometimes they get pre-empted by game/network time).

SUPER BOWL LX SEGMENTS
The Super Bowl is already the the undisputed king of sport events, rife with plenty of colorful bits of entertainment to keep audiences glued to the TV for the long haul, but with Super Bowl LX being a milestone game in the long legacy of Gridiron Tales imagine my elation at the opportunity to design and animate two short Super Bowl LX segments—Londyn Calling and Super Bowl History.
Londyn Calling - When youthful energy meets sideline swagger, kid sports reporter Londyn McCourty hosts a series quick-cut interviews backed back a tiny motion package that matches her height in scale, but the size of her personality visual execution, evocative of children’s coloring and sticker book covers, but using the iconography and semiotics of big network NFL packages!
Super Bowl History - A more understated, mature, and respectful counterpoint featuring a carousel that highlights moments of games long since past and tasteful typography that honors the game’s legacy. It’s nostalgic, emotionally resonant, and very velvety green.
Together they’re a brilliant convergence: Londyn’s fresh, kinetic voice bridges the crowd to the moment, while Super Bowl History grounds the spectacle in tradition. Old-school reverence meets new-school flare—contrast and continuity that make the Super Bowl feel both timeless and contemporary.

CHASING GOLD AT THE WINTER OLYMPICS
Chasing Gold is a monthly NBC Sports program that follows American Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls, particularly as they prepared for the 2026 Winter Games when I came aboard in 2025. The series highlights athlete stories, rigorous training, and competition, premiering on NBC with streaming available on Peacock. In collaboration with my esteemed colleague, Senior Designer Christie Gram, I meticulously curated, arranged, and color corrected photos of the various athletes to compliment the studio design and palettes while occasionally crafting custom animations and graphics as needed. If you tell me we didn’t need to animate Mikaela Shriffin on Santa’s sleigh riding through the moon-soaked night sky with a few of her favorite PERSONAL reindeer (this is a true story), I’d tell you we can’t be friends!
